In these days in Hong Kong, it was held one of the last challenges of Acquerello Risotto World Summit, the culinary competition sponsored by Rice Acquerello, with the participation of important international chefs engaged in a dare to the “last grain of rice”.
Participants are judged by an exceptional jury composed by Italian and Hong Kong experts.
The event follows some particular and well-defined rules, such as the on-site preparation of the dish, a maximum preparation time (1 hour), and the usage of basic ingredients proposed by the organization of the summit. Last “essential” rule is that the risotto, strictly Acquerello, has to be cooked following the procedures of traditional Italian cuisine.
Among the chefs in challenge, there are international Michelin stars as Andrea Berton, Massimiliano Musso, Corrado Michelazzo.
In the jury there are leading names of food criticism and cusine as Alfonso Caputo, Gianni D’Amato, Mario Caramella (President ithefs-gvci), Rosario Scarpato, Director of Italian Cuisine & Wines World Summit, and Margaret Fu, Alma Mater of Towngas’s Cooking School.
The winner of Hong Kong contest will participate to the Final of Acquerello Contest that will took place in Milan in 2013 and that will make once again Rice Acquerello the protagonist of traditional and international culinary creativity.
